Sessions is a labour of love, born from a deeply personal place, and it’s already exceeding every expectation. When an investor advised me to rewrite the script at the eleventh hour, threatening to dilute the raw heart of this story, we had to part ways. This film is too vital & too real to compromise. My whole motivation to make this film independently and not seek investment from the big corporate boys was to keep it authentic, this film talks to and serves a really underserved demographic, a demographic that rarely has its story told. This is about men struggling, how session culture gripped a generation and the family unit.
I want to connect with real people that are really struggling so changing the script to make it more commercially viable just didn’t sit right with me, so instead I poured in every penny had saved for my family’s future in, I sold my McLaren, my villa in Spain, chucked my tour money in & got a few people together that believed in me and its message and we pushed on because I honestly believe Sessions can change lives.
And it’s paying off. We’ve overdelivered in every way possible—stunning visuals, electric performances, and a cast that brings this story to life with breath-taking authenticity. The film is shot, it’s in the can, and we’re thrilled with what we’ve created. But now, we have a chance to take Sessions to the next level, and we need your investment to make it happen.

What Is Sessions?

Imagine a man on the brink, torn between love and destruction, hope and despair. Picture a woman—his anchor, his heart—holding their family together with quiet strength as he spirals.
This is Sessions, a raw, unflinching love story inspired by the real-life battles of its myself and the 50,000 men in my mental health charity group “Men And Their Emotions” the stories shared through lived experience in order to help each other in the group inspired this story.
It’s a film about addiction, shame, and the silent struggles of men lost to their demons. It’s about the women who carry the weight when the men don’t make it through their battles with mental health, and it’s about redemption—because even in our darkest moments, there’s a chance to rise.
Sessions isn’t just a film; it’s a movement. It’s a mirror for men grappling with unspoken pain and a tribute to the women who love them through it. This may be my story, but its a common one—my battles with drink and drugs, my love for my wife, and my fight to be the father my three daughters deserve.
This film speaks for the men we’re losing to addiction and suicide and honors the resilience of those who hold families together.

Sessions follows Richie, a man drowning in addiction, whose reckless choices threaten to unravel his marriage to Olivia, the woman who loves him despite his flaws.
